YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK BACKPACKING ELOPEMENT
Emma and Sam’s elopement was more than just a ceremony—it was an epic journey. We backpacked 24 miles through Yosemite National Park, racing against time (and elevation) to reach Glacier Point for their sunrise vows. The trail brought challenges and beauty in equal measure—from starlit skies to quiet alpine trails, and even a surreal mountain lion encounter that we’ll definitely never forget. It was wild, unforgettable, and deeply personal—exactly what an adventure elopement is meant to be.

Reaching Glacier Point in time for sunrise felt like stepping into a dream. As the first light poured over Half Dome and the valley below, Emma and Sam exchanged vows in complete stillness—just the two of them, the mountains, and the soft sound of wind in the trees. It was raw, emotional, and visually unreal. As a wedding videographer, it’s rare to witness something so quiet and powerful at the same time. The connection between Emma and Sam, forged through miles on the trail and a shared spirit of adventure, came through in every look and laugh—and it was an absolute honor to capture that.

This wasn’t just a shoot—it was an experience that brought us all closer. Spending 24 hours in the backcountry together gave us a front-row seat to who Emma and Sam really are: kind, resilient, full of joy, and ready to take on life side by side. Their Yosemite elopement film went on to be nominated for Best Elopement Film of the Year in 2023, and we’re not surprised—it’s the kind of story that sticks with you.
